Dear Friends of the Commission:

Many thanks for providing t-shirts for the NCBVI Project Independence 2016, Come Sail Away
With Me summer camp. The shirts were an aqua color and the front of the shirt has a large ship
with huge sails (color of the ship is deep aqua). Across the top part of the sails says: Come Sail
Away with Me (in white lettering) The ships name is Project Independence (in white lettering)
and on top of the highest sails there are two flags that have the year 2016 (two numbers on
each flag-in white lettering). On the sleeve it says in the deep aqua color: The Friends of the
Commission Believe in You

This year we had 13 campers attend NCBVI Project Independence Camp from across Nebraska,
spanning from Omaha to Alliance and cities in between!
All the campers and counselors wore the shirts on our field trip day to Omaha. Campers visited
the Omaha Children’s Museum Ship Exhibit, Valentino’s Restaurant and Marcus Cinema for a
descriptive movie. The field trip day gives the camper an opportunity to promote their
independence of the blind youth of Nebraska while enjoying a day of fun!

Thanks again, your support is greatly appreciated!
